Lyra Dream turns the images you wake with into insight you can use — a private, intelligent guide to your inner life, built on the depth psychology of Carl Jung.
“Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”C. G. Jung
How it works
Not a symbol dictionary.
A conversation.
Lyra Dream doesn't hand you a one-word meaning. It does what a good analyst does — asks, listens, and helps you arrive at your own understanding.
Speak it while it's fresh
Type it the moment you wake — fragments, half-images and all. Lyra Dream takes it from wherever your memory left off.
Follow the associations
It asks the questions that draw out meaning — your feelings, your associations, the figures who appeared — and reads them through a Jungian lens.
Watch the pattern form
Lyra Dream remembers your people, your symbols and your recurring themes, so each dream adds to a picture of your inner life over time.
See it
One dream, interpreted.
Before we reach for what any of it means — stay with the water for a moment. Not what it symbolizes. What did it feel like, standing in that hallway as it rose?
Then let's not rush to call it a flood. A childhood home often carries the dreamer's own psyche — and yours is revealing rooms you never knew were there, while the water arrives more like a tide than a threat. Curiosity in the face of rising water is worth taking seriously: some part of you may feel ready to enter what has long been closed…
An excerpt, lightly shortened. Every session is a conversation — Lyra asks before it interprets.
Why not just use ChatGPT?
A chatbot answers your dream.
Lyra remembers you.
| A general chatbot | Lyra Dream | |
|---|---|---|
| Your dreams | Works from what you paste in | Recalls past dreams that share this one's symbols and people |
| Your people | You explain who Anna is | Knows Anna, and how things with her have changed |
| Your symbols | Dictionary meanings | Your own associations, tracked across every dream |
| The method | Interprets straight away | Asks first, one question at a time, as a Jungian analyst would |
| Your privacy | Chats may train future models unless you opt out | Never used for training. Optional encryption under a key only you hold |
| Afterwards | A chat thread | A dream journal, with practices to carry into your day |
ChatGPT is a brilliant generalist. Lyra Dream does one thing — and keeps what it learns about you from one dream to the next.
Why Lyra Dream
An inner life is worth
taking seriously.
Grounded in Jung, not fortune-telling
Shadow, archetype, the parts of the self — Lyra Dream works within real depth psychology. It's here to give insight, not predictions.
Alongside your therapy
A companion for the work between sessions — a place to reflect, notice patterns and bring more to your therapist. Not a replacement for one.
Privacy
The most honest thing
you'll write all day.
Dreams are intimate. So Lyra Dream lets you encrypt them at rest with a key derived from your password — turn it on, and we store only what we can't read without you.
We never sell your data and never use your dreams for advertising. Export or delete everything you've written, whenever you want.
With encryption on, a dream is decrypted briefly during your live session so the analysis can run, then sealed again. We're clear about the line between private-at-rest and end-to-end, and we'll always tell you exactly where your data sits.

Why not just use ChatGPT?
A general chatbot can tell you what a symbol usually means. Lyra Dream works the way a Jungian analyst does: it asks for your own associations before it interprets, one question at a time.
And it remembers what you share — the people in your life, the symbols that keep returning and what they mean to you, and the past dreams that echo this one — so each dream builds on the last. Your dreams are never used to train AI models, you can encrypt them under a key only you hold, and you can export or delete everything at any time.
Is this therapy?
No. Lyra Dream is a reflective companion, not a medical or mental-health service, and it isn't a substitute for a therapist. Many people use it alongside therapy — to notice patterns between sessions and bring more to the room. If you're in distress, please reach a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
What happens to my dreams?
You can encrypt them at rest with a key derived from your password — our servers then hold only wrapped keys they cannot open without you. Dreams are decrypted briefly in memory during your live session so the analysis can run, then sealed again. We never sell data, never show ads inside the app, and never use your dreams to train AI models.
You can export everything or delete your account — and all of it — at any time.
What does it cost?
Your first two dream analyses are free — no card required. After that you buy small consumable credit packs (one credit = one fully interpreted dream). There is no subscription, and credits don't expire.
What makes the interpretations Jungian?
Lyra works the way an analyst trained in depth psychology works: it asks for your associations before offering meaning, treats dream figures as parts of the dreamer, and reads images through concepts like the shadow, the anima and animus, and individuation — rather than looking symbols up in a dictionary. The interpretation is arrived at with you, not delivered to you.
When can I use it?
